'Lap Lap Dance' is an audiovisual performance based on Lieven Martens' longstanding fascination with the culture and music of the inhabitants of the Vanuatu archipelago in the South Pacific. The performance will consist of a new composition with both field recordings and images shot on location by filmmaker Christina Stuhlberger. This series of images is projected in the exhibition space and creates a synergy with the sound composition.
The performance was streamed live during the Antwerp Art weekend.
