After being selected for the East Asian Experimental competition with her adaption of Banana Yoshimoto's novel N.P, Lisa Spilliaert received an Award for Excellence at the 35th Image Forum Festival in Tokyo (JP).
After the screening Banana Yoshimoto posted the following kind words on her social media:
"Anyway, the images are wonderful and the ideas are wonderful. I wanted to shout, "You got it❣️" I couldn't take my eyes off Mikiko Kawamura, who played Sui, for even a moment. She is a dancer and her body movements are amazing. Anyway, a masterpiece. The film was originally screened in Belgium, so in Japan, it was only shown at the Shibuya Forum competition, it will be shown again on Thursday. I can't wait for it to come to Japan."
